Hudson Software has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy. This privacy statement discloses what information we gather, how we use it, and how to correct or change it.

This statement discloses the privacy practices for the Hudson Software  Web site. To demonstrate our commitment to your privacy, we are disclosing our information practices and have our privacy practices available for public scrutiny through this forum.

1. Information Hudson Software gathers
Hudson Software gathers two types of information about users: Data that users provide through our software 'order' form, and possibly source site tracking information (if you arrived at our site from a site containing one of the Hudson Software advertising banners. No personal information is ever passed between Hudson Software and its 'Advertisers'.

Hudson Software gathers user information in the following processes:

• Software Order Forms
Hudson Software requires people or companies purchasing our software to supply a company name, address, and contact details including an e-mail address (so we can deliver our software electronically).

• Electronic newsletters
Hudson Software offers occasional free electronic newsletters to users of our various software programs, generally advising of program updates or new product releases. Hudson Software never divulges e-mail addresses to a third party. Users may remove themselves from our mailing lists by sending an e-mail to
Hudson Software asking to be removed from the list.

• Cookies
A cookie is a small data file that certain Web sites write to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie file can contain information such as your user details, but the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. Hudson Software uses a cookie to store  your personal information (on your own computer) to save you re-entering all the fields when you place an order for an upgrade (for example).

If you've set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, you will receive the warning message with each cookie.

You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. You do not need to have cookies turned on to use the Hudson Software site, however if you do so, you will need to re-enter your details next time you visit. We recommend you leave cookies switched ON.  

2. Use of the information
Any information you supply to us is used within Hudson Software primarily for the purposes of software registration / licensing, or advising you (our client) of updates and new product releases.

Security: Hudson Software does not store individually identifiable information about Web users, such as name, phone number or street address on our Web server. Any private information supplied is held on a totally separate server.

3. Sharing of the information
Hudson Software never divulges information about an individual user to any third parties for any reason.

4. Opt-out policy
Hudson Software gives users the option to opt-out of receiving our electronic newsletters wherever necessary and practical. Such choices include:

  • By e-mail to Hudson Software asking to be removed from the mailing list.

5. Correct/update policy
Hudson Software offers users the ability to correct or change the information at any time and as often as necessary. Procedures are the same as item 4.

6. Delete/deactivate policy
Users may unsubscribe to any of our electronic newsletters at any time.  Procedures are the same as item 4.

Currently, Hudson Software does not offer users a means by which to completely delete personal information established at the time of registration of any of our software products.
